ViscoTec exhibits on the Vision Pharma for the first time

In addition to the favorite trade fairs FachPack in Nuremberg and Interpack in Düsseldorf in the business unit Food & Pharma ViscoTec took part in the trade fair Vision Pharma in Karlsruhe in February this year for the first time. The Vision Pharma is not a trade fair in the traditional sense, it is a new, innovative and future-oriented communications platform with a kind of lounge atmosphere. Emphasis is placed on individual and informal exchange of information through various lecture sessions, demonstration workshops, discussion forums and action stages. ViscoTec wanted to try this new exhibition concept in the pharmaceutical sector. With regard to the exhibits this trade show also differed significantly from our traditional trade fairs. A full range of exhibits is not provided but really the most important issues. Conversations and discussion forums should be rather the main focus. Therefore we have presented exclusively a sectional model of our new pharmaceutical pump 2RD15. from left: Patrick Schwindt, Business Unit Manager Food & Pharma, Elisabeth Lenz, Marketing The service also proved to be very communicative - instead of being hosted individually by each exhibitor on the stand, there was food and drinks for free in several bars. So you got involved quickly and easily in interesting  discussions. For ViscoTec this trade fair was very positive and the next participation on February 5th-7th, 2013 is already booked.

ViscoTec donates to children with cancer

ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH from Töging always likes to support social projects and organizations in the region. So managing director Georg Senftl attended the charity concert in February in Hofthambach/Neumarkt St. Veit in the district Mühldorf to hand over a check worth 2,000 euro. The charity concert, titled „Music for brass instruments is so beautiful“ was organized for the benefit of children with cancer of the Hauner Children `s Hospital in Munich for the tenth time under the direction of „Musimoasta“ Sepp Eibelsgruber. The origins of the Pediatric Surgery Department and policlinic go back to the year 1849, when surgery in the pediatric clinic were conducted on a consulting basis. In 1886, after the takeover of the hospital by the University an own pediatric surgery department was created, which has existed since 1969 as an independent children‘s surgical clinic. The model of two disciplines under one roof has stood the test since over 160 years. The Department of  Hematology and Oncology at the Hau- from the left: Georg Senftl, managing director ViscoTec, Sepp Eibelsgruber ner Children‘s Hospital with about 100 admissions per year is one of the largest Pediatric Oncology centers in Germany. The generous donations can be invested in a music therapy for example, which is important and bringing joy for the younger patients. 386 guests were in the hall of the inn Zen in Hofthambach present, including Minister of State Dr. Marcel Huber, and listened to the excellent sound of the tuba, trombone, flugelhorn, tenor horn and trumpet players.

Art brought to the point - ViscoTec „meets modern art“

Already in 2009 was the first contact with the artist Knut-Peter Reinhardt and the Bavarian dosing technology manufacturer ViscoTec. Reinhardt, a high school teacher who worked with a group of students at a „Youth Research“ project, dealt intensively with the topic „applied computer science.“

The focus was especially on the programming of a „3D plotter“ on an axis system. The aim was to apply different acrylic colors with a special technique exactly in identical points on a glass plate.

Through Internet research, Knut-Peter Reinhardt came across the principle of the eccentric screw pump and the dosing pumps of ViscoTec GmbH. He described the business unit manager Adhesives & Chemicals, Martin Stadler his situation and the two decided in discussion for the use of a 3RD8 dosing pump for the paint application in this project.
The required parameters, a perfect spot dosing, a fast change of material and ease of cleaning could be optimally met by the dosing pump.

„Dot Art“, an art project that Mr. Reinhardt realized in his spare time, also benefited by the ViscoTec technology. He got inspired on a trip through the Australian Aborigines, who pass on the dot-painting as an art form for generations. Even today, their works of art are created by manual setting of each color point - Mr. Reinhardt implemented this technology in our digital age. Thus many impressive works on glass and perspex in various styles and color combinations were created.

In December 2011 Knut-Peter Reinhardt and his wife visited the new offices of ViscoTec GmbH and got a second dosing pump for his work as a loan. In return he gave Martin Stadler one of his works: „The Blue Planet“, a result of parallel connection of individual glass panes as a substrate to a composite which can only appear in the viewer‘s eye the image of a ball (see picture). The fragmentation of the discs in points also creates a kind of pulsating vibration and movement of the sculpture. The object is even more intense by black light illumination in its colors and is now presented in the foyer of ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH.

ViscoTec moved to new building

In November 2011, the ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik Gmbh moved into a newly constructed company building. The move to new spacious premises was needed urgently due to the growing number of employees. The new business and production facilities are just a stone‘s throw across the street from the old building away. So the move went off in several stages without a hitch.
The new building was built in a modern design. Many window and glass partitions now provide a bright and friendly working atmosphere. Also new is a showroom completely built with glass walls that displays our products clearly.
The employee’s physical well-being is also provided: a curling track and a bocce court are available during breaks for work-life-balance.
With an expansion to double capacity ViscoTec is now ready for the next few years and perfectly prepared for a steady growth associated with the creation of numerous new jobs.
